September Tokaj delicacies to get the tastebuds watering!
Guest of honour was János Pisak, grape and vine enthusiast who braved wet vineyards to bring us all manner of varieties of table grapes...and sold out quickly :)
And more...
The Sárga Borház menu was based around János's grapes...
including this gorgeously designed take on rice pudding with grapes...
A new arrival from the Ambrozsoky smallhollding... The long-awaited feta!
and mozzarella with fresh herbs and brie from Kisgömböc....
And my favourite breakfast of all ... yoghurt with homemade strawberry jam from Sándor Bodnár
And two more autumn favourites: quince
And peppers
It made us happier than this guy...

Wine and soda or cordial?
And bar with Róbert Péter of Ábrahám Winery, Erdőbénye - for a touch of philosophy with your wine. Does wine not always inspire? Is that not what we love so much about it?

Sun smiles on Celebration of the Flowering Vine
And what better way to arrive to a handcraft market than by bike in gorgeous summer sun...
to inspect the flowering vine (and imagine what the vintage of 2014 may promise)
Before chilling out on the terrace in the shade of the chestnut trees after some intense shopping ...
to inspect the flowering vine (and imagine what the vintage of 2014 may promise)
Before chilling out on the terrace in the shade of the chestnut trees after some intense shopping ...
Or having a little dance,
Or pony ride through the vineyard...
Or a moment in music
And admiring all forms of flowers...
Kati created some wonderful arrangements...
Thanks - as always - to László and his colleagues at Szerencsi TV for all their time, wonderful photos and videos of the market :)
